Availability

I see patients by appointment only.
My office hours are 8AM to 5PM Monday through Friday.
Most appointments begin on the hour and run 45 to 50 minutes.

Communications

Voice communication is my preferred mode of communication outside of appointments.
My office phone number is (858) 240-7449.
Messages left on the voice-mail are confidential and returned within one business day.

Assistant

In order to devote more of my time to direct patient care, I employ the aid of an assistant. Most routine messages (such as appointment scheduling requests) are returned by my assistant Alicia.

Insurance

Few insurance companies are supportive of physician-provided psychotherapy. While it is my preference to make care affordable (by accepting as many insurance contracts as possible), many insurance companies have made collaboration difficult.

At present, I am an in-network provider only for Aetna. Other insurance providers may help pay for care through out-of-network benefits. I will be happy to bill these insurers directly to ease patients’ administrative burden.
